Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) has a long history of wound healing; historically the large leaves were mashed & used as a field poultice in times of war. It was known for its' ability to heal traumatized tissues, large wounds & even broken bones - hence it has a name "knitbone". Comfrey supports tissue healing through Allantoin, a substance that stimulates cell production and thus helps wound healing.
Steeped for weeks in Olive Oil, then infused into honey & Shea Oil, results in a synergy of potent wound-healing ingredients.
